Hagie Manufacturing Company offers enrollment in a qualified retirement savings plan for all employees 18 and over on the first of the quarter following 6 months of service with the company.
The 401k plan allows employees:
 Pre-tax salary deferrals through payroll deduction.
 Hagie matches 25% of the first 6% of employee contributions, with discretionary employer contributions at the end of the plan year.
 With a graded vesting schedule, employees are fully vested after 3 years of employment.
The following 8 days are pre-assigned and recognized as a Company Holiday:

 Good Friday
 Memorial Day
 Independence Day
 Labor Day
 Thanksgiving Day
 Day after Thanksgiving

In addition to the eight days listed above, a Birthday Holiday is given to each employee - your choice! A local caterer serves meals daily for employees. Meals cost either $3.00 or $4.00. Hourly employees are able to earn up to 72 hours of PTO (Paid Time Off) each year.
Currently we offer up to 3 weeks of vacation per eligible employee.
Effective January 1, 2012, we'll be adding a fourth week of vacation at 15 years of service.
We hold monthly all-employee meetings to share/celebrate new things going on in the company and welcome new hires to our Hagie Team in creative ways such as game shows, etc. Our library holds a number of books and CD’s on topics such as leadership development, workplace happiness, time utilization, etc. All employees are eligible to check out material from the library. In our continuing effort to promote health and fitness at Hagie Manufacturing Company, we offer free local fitness center memberships to our employees and their families, or reimbursements for other eligible facilities as long as each member meets the monthly minimum usage requirements. Monthly events are held offsite for employees and spouses to attend (golf, bowling, dodge ball, roller skating, volleyball, etc.). We offer free coffee, cappuccino, fountain drinks and popcorn to our employees, vendors, customers and visitors all day, every day. All employees are allowed to wear jeans or shorts to work daily. This program is designed to support our employees overall health and well-being. Monthly wellness discounts are given based on participation in a variety of services and activities, including a free annual wellness screening. We’re asking employees to be pro-active in their approach to wellness, and in turn, they will be rewarded with a discount off their monthly insurance premiums. Available in both lunchrooms every day for employees to enjoy. We have a Culture Enhancement/Goals Coach on staff to assist employees in setting and tracking their personal goals (additional schooling, more training, advancement in the company, etc.) All employees have access to our online apparel catalog and are eligible to order custom Hagie apparel at any time. There are employee discounts upon hire and at certain times during the year.
 $40.00 reimbursement per year (or $80 every two years) for Steel Toed Shoes.
 $130.00 every two years for Prescription Safety Glasses.
 Monthly Premiums: $47.00* employee, $63.00* spouse, $31.00 first child, $21.00 second child, $10.00 third and fourth child, five or more children at no charge.
 A monthly $20.00 Wellness Discount is available for both employee and spouse upon meeting the terms of our Wellness Program.
 $25.00 co-pay for In-network Physician and Chiropractic Office Visits.
 $500.00 individual deductible per calendar year, then 70% is paid by the plan.
 Group insurance is offered to full-time employees on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
 $5.00 per month per enrollee ($20.00 maximum)
 Preventative Care coverage – 100% paid by plan within the usual, customary and reasonable limits of the plan, no deductible.
 Basic Restorative Services coverage – $50 deductible, then 80% paid by the plan.
 Major Services coverage – $50 deductible, then 60% paid by the plan.
 Orthodontia – Braces are covered for dependent children only, up to age 19 at 50%, no deductible with a lifetime maximum of $1,500 per person.
 $1,500 annual maximum for combined Basic Restorative and Major Services.
Agreement with local provider for 15% discount for Hagie employees and their dependents, PLUS:
 Eye exams: $35 maximum paid per member per calendar year
 Lenses: $30 - $55 maximum paid per member per calendar year
 Contacts: $60 maximum paid per member per calendar year
 Frames: $70 maximum paid per member every 2 years
A $100 reimbursement per member per calendar year is given if employee chooses a provider other than our local provider.
 Our prescription drug coverage is through Medco Health Solutions (effective the same time as Medical Coverage)

Available to all employees and spouses interested in quitting smoking Up to 12 visits per year, $25 co-pay Employees are eligible for Short Term Disability following one year of employment. Employees are eligible to take up to 16 hours of paid time off (per year) to do qualified volunteer work. Available to all salaried employees to provide income replacement for qualified employees. All Production and Customer Support employees have the option to either join our Uniform Rental Program or receive free Hagie uniforms for work. If approved, Hagie reimburses up to $300 per credit hour for continuing education. The Hagie family is a generous supporter of Iowa State University Athletics and holds several season tickets for both football and men’s basketball. Game tickets are available to Hagie employees and their families at no charge. Free, confidential service is available to employees, spouses and children to help deal with life issues (financial, personal, etc.). Within reason, employees may have the opportunity to select their preferred start time. A thank you for all employees’ service to the company. Employees who have been nominated for the WOW and Upfront Leader of the Month Awards are recognized at our monthly company meeting. Clarion businesses offer Hagie employees discounts on their goods and services. Part of Alan’s Vision is to support and invest in our local community. What better way to support Clarion than have our employees located right here in town. To support the community of Clarion, we decided to offer a $1,000 incentive to full time Hagie employees who relocate to Clarion and purchase their primary home. The $1,000 incentive goes toward the closing costs.
